GEOTEXTILES
Manifattura Fontana S.p.A. produces nonwoven geotextiles in polypropylene and polyester fibres in unit weights from 120 to 2000 g/m2, with customized dimension of the rolls, up to a maximum of 6.60 m. The process used for manufacture, which consist in carding and mechanical cohesion of the fibres, with no chemical or heat treatment, makes it possible to obtain a product with mechanical and hydraulics characteristics such to make it particularly suitable for use both in earth works and in the protection of surfaces exposed to mechanical damage.
The technical characteristics of non-woven fabric depend greatly on the type of fibres used for the manufacture.
Traditionally Manifattura Fontana S.p.A. separates its geo-textiles in two product ranges:
DREFON®
Drefon®, for heavy duty use in civil and environment engineering, made up entirely of virgin high tenacity polypropylene or polyester fibres, supplied by the most highly qualified European producers. The main characteristics of Drefon geotextiles are high mechanical and hydraulic performance and durability.
EDILFON®
Edilfon®, for normal use, for various building requirements, made up of polypropylene and polyester fibres in various cut and length.
GENERAL TABLE OF PRODUCTS
As we believe that geotextiles should be considered a precious technical resource in engineering works, with equal dignity compared to traditional building products, we put our experience at your disposal, to advise you on the most suitable material to use in your building works.
